FAQ
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
GrainGuard is a direct manufacturer of hermetic packaging solutions for green coffee beans and agricultural commodities, not a trading company. Our production facilities in China manage the full process, from barrier-film co-extrusion to bag assembly and final quality inspection.
Where is your factory located?
Our production facility is located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, at No. 18, Kongquehe 2nd Road, Jimo District. Factory visits can be arranged in advance, and our sales team is available by WhatsApp or email to assist with directions, scheduling, and product consultations.
How long has GrainGuard been in the hermetic packaging industry?
GrainGuard is backed by Syon Packaging Technology, a company with more than 32 years of experience in industrial packaging manufacturing. The team specializes in hermetic storage solutions for coffee, cocoa, grains, and other agricultural commodities, combining large-scale production capability with export-focused packaging expertise.
What products does GrainGuard offer?
GrainGuard manufactures a wide range of hermetic packaging products for green coffee beans and agricultural commodities, including Sample Bags, Jute Liners, Vacuum Bags, Container Liners, FIBC Ton Bags, Indoor Cocoons, and Coffee Trays. Each product is designed for different storage, transport, and export applications across the supply chain.
Which markets do you supply?
GrainGuard supplies hermetic packaging solutions to coffee exporters, importers, roasters, traders, and warehouse operators across South America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. Our products are used in both specialty coffee and bulk agricultural supply chains worldwide.
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the product type. Sample Bags usually start from a few thousand pieces per size, while Jute Liners, Container Liners, and Ton Bags have lower piece-count MOQs due to their higher unit value. Custom printing and OEM specifications require higher minimums than stock products. Send us your target product and estimated quantity, and we will confirm the exact MOQ in your quotation.
Can I order multiple products in one shipment?
Yes. Mixed-product shipments are common for buyers sourcing a complete hermetic packaging range or testing several formats at once. We can consolidate into a single shipment with optimized container loading to help reduce logistics costs.
Do you accept small trial orders?
Yes. Trial orders are welcome for first-time buyers who want to evaluate product performance before placing larger orders. In many cases, quantities below the standard MOQ can be arranged for initial cooperation. Custom-printed trial runs may involve setup charges depending on artwork and production requirements.
Can I order custom dimensions or specifications?
Yes. GrainGuard supports custom dimensions, film thickness, barrier structures, printing, and product specifications based on project requirements. Our in-house production and 10-layer co-extrusion capability allow us to develop tailored hermetic packaging solutions for different storage and logistics applications. Custom orders usually require a higher MOQ and slightly longer lead times.
What payment terms do you offer?
Our standard payment terms are 30% T/T deposit and 70% balance before shipment. For repeat customers and larger-volume orders, we can discuss options such as 70% against B/L copy or L/C at sight, depending on order history and cooperation terms.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Most international orders are paid by T/T, which is the most common method for B2B trade. We also accept L/C at sight for larger contracts and Western Union for sample fees or small payments. Official bank details are provided with the proforma invoice after order confirmation.
Do you give wholesale discounts on bulk orders?
Yes. Pricing is based on order volume, with better unit pricing available for larger quantities, container-load orders, and long-term supply agreements. Because GrainGuard manufactures directly in-house, buyers benefit from factory-direct pricing without intermediary costs.
Are prices quoted FOB or CIF?
FOB Qingdao is our standard quotation term. We can also provide CIF, CFR, EXW, or DDP pricing depending on your shipping requirements. Please share your destination port or delivery address when requesting a quotation.
Do you provide samples before bulk orders?
Yes. Standard product samples are available for serious buyers, with courier shipping arranged on the buyer's account. Testing samples before bulk production allows buyers to evaluate fit, barrier performance, sealing, and overall product suitability under actual storage or shipping conditions. Customized or oversized samples may require a sample fee, which can usually be credited toward the first production order.
How quickly can samples be sent out?
Standard samples are typically prepared within 2 to 3 working days after courier confirmation. Express delivery by DHL, FedEx, or UPS usually takes around 5 to 7 days depending on the destination. Tracking information is shared once the shipment leaves our warehouse.
Can samples be customized with my logo?
Yes. We can provide customized samples with logo printing, custom dimensions, and specific material structures for project evaluation. Printed samples are commonly used for retail packaging approval, buyer presentations, and branding review before mass production. Setup charges may apply depending on artwork and printing requirements.
What is your standard lead time?
Standard production lead time is usually 15 to 30 days after deposit confirmation, depending on product type, order quantity, customization, and factory scheduling. Stock specifications are generally faster, while OEM-printed orders with custom artwork may require additional production time. If your order is time-sensitive, please inform us during the quotation stage so we can review scheduling options.
What production capacity does the factory have?
Our Qingdao facility operates advanced 10-layer co-extrusion film production equipment, allowing stable output and high barrier performance across the GrainGuard product range. We regularly support container-volume orders for international buyers. For long-term or high-volume supply programs, we recommend sharing projected demand in advance for production planning.
How is production quality controlled?
Quality control is managed throughout the entire production process, including raw material inspection, film thickness testing, barrier-performance verification, dimensional inspection, seam-strength checks, and final pre-shipment review. Because production is handled in-house, we maintain consistent quality control and full traceability across every batch.
How are products packed for international shipping?
Products are packed in protective inner cartons and outer master cartons, with palletizing and shrink-wrapping used where appropriate. Packaging is designed for long-distance ocean and air freight while protecting the barrier integrity of the products. Carton quantities and packaging dimensions are available in each product specification sheet.
What shipping methods are supported?
We support sea freight, including FCL and LCL, as well as air freight and express courier shipping for samples and urgent orders. Qingdao Port provides regular export routes to major international markets, helping maintain stable transit schedules and competitive freight options. Door-to-port and door-to-door shipping arrangements are both available.
How long does shipping take?
Sea freight usually takes around 25 to 45 days depending on destination and shipping route. Air freight normally requires 5 to 10 days, while express courier shipments for samples or small orders typically arrive within 5 to 7 working days. Final transit times depend on vessel schedules, customs clearance, and destination country.
Do you handle export documentation?
Yes. We prepare standard export documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin. Additional documents such as Form A or other preferential trade certificates can also be arranged based on destination requirements.
Are your bags food-grade?
Yes. All GrainGuard hermetic packaging products are manufactured using food-grade materials suitable for direct contact with green coffee beans, cocoa, and other agricultural commodities. Material specification documents can be provided upon request.
What technical advantage does the 10-layer film offer?
The 10-layer co-extruded film structure provides stronger oxygen and moisture barrier performance compared with conventional lower-layer films commonly used in standard packaging. This helps maintain green coffee quality during storage and long-distance shipment.
Do you offer OEM and ODM services?
Yes. GrainGuard provides both OEM and ODM services for international buyers and distributors. OEM projects include custom printing on standard products, while ODM projects may involve custom dimensions, film structures, or product development based on specific application requirements. MOQ and lead time vary depending on the level of customization.
Can I print my logo on the bags?
Yes. Custom logo printing is available across most GrainGuard product lines using multi-color flexographic printing. For best printing results, please provide artwork files in Adobe Illustrator, PDF, or EPS format. New designs may require a one-time printing plate setup charge.
Can you develop a fully custom product?
Yes. We support custom product development for buyers with specialized storage, transportation, or packaging requirements. This may include custom sizes, barrier structures, printing finishes, or application-specific packaging formats. Our technical team will review the project specifications and confirm feasibility before sampling and production.
What if products arrive damaged?
Please notify us within 7 days after delivery with photos and a description of the issue. While transit damage is uncommon due to our export packaging standards, we will review the case and work with the buyer on a suitable solution based on the shipment terms and inspection results.
Do you provide installation guidance for liners and bags?
Yes. Installation guides and video tutorials are available for products such as Container Liners and Ton Bags. Technical support is available, including guidance during first-time installation and deployment.
How can I become a distributor or agent?
We welcome distributor and agent inquiries from markets where we do not yet have local representation. Please send your company profile, target market, and estimated annual volume to info@grainguardbags.com for review. Suitable partners may qualify for regional support and long-term cooperation opportunities.
How do I request a quotation?
You can request a quotation by contacting us through WhatsApp, email, or the contact form on our website. To receive an accurate quote, please provide the product type, quantity, destination port, and any customization requirements. Quotations are normally prepared within 24 business hours.
How can I visit the factory?
